  • Bloomsburg, PA: Our fake life is over. We bought a house and have REAL jobs! Thus begins the next chapter in our adventure.

PLACES VISITED
  • Columbus, OH: Who wouldn't want to see a life size replica of the Santa Maria?
  • Evansville, IN: Where the only thing better than gambling is riverboat gambling.
  • Shawnee National Forest in Southern, IL: Truly a Garden of the Gods.
  • Manchester, NJ: Rebel Race  Mud  Dust Run
  • Indianapolis, IN: No better place to spend a rainy day (or two)
  • Chicago, IL: Good friends, good food, Wrigley Field, and blues bars that are open until 6am. Amazing.
  • St. Louis, MO: Love the city. Hate the baseball team.
  • Nashville, TN: A city so fun it makes country music seem almost tolerable.
  • Norman, OK: I guess Norman was a good enough guy to have a city named after him, but I'm sure he's got nothing on Ben and Julie. 
  • Mammoth Cave, KY: It's much more than just a big hole in the ground.
  • Bloomington, IN: Home of the Hoosiers and (more importantly) a dynamite beer festival.
  • Louisville, KY: Seeing a 120 foot tall baseball bat...CHECK!
  • Omaha, NE: Ian and M.C. totally pampered us so we could recharge before heading westward.
  • Badlands, SD: Think of giant sand drip castles, better yet, just go there to see for yourself. Simply amazing.
  • Mount Rushmore, SD: Four heads, one impressive sight to see.
  • Cody, WY: Home of Buffalo Bill and a serious beer branding controversy.
  • Yellowstone National Park: Everyone should have this place on their bucket list. Incredible.
  • Missoula, MT: Despite our shady hotel, Missoula still ranks as one of the best all around cities we have visited.
  • Spokane, WA: Nothing bad happened here, but nothing good did either.
  • Palouse Falls, WA: Who knew there were waterfalls in the desert?
  • Walla Walla, WA: A town so nice they named it twice.
  • Mount Rainier National Park: An extreme land built from fire and ice.
  • Portland, OR: There's nothing wrong with a city that offers us good food, art, kayaking, and wine tasting. Nothing.
  • Seattle, WA: Thanks Kate for the informative and entertaining tour!
  • Hood River, OR: There's no rush like Class V rapids in 40 degree water. Woooo!!!
  • Bend, OR: Home of the delicious Ale Trail.
  • Crater Lake National Park, OR: Unique doesn't begin to describe a volcano the blows itself up and then becomes a 2,000 foot deep lake.
  • North Cascades National Park, WA: Despite below freezing temps, we were nice and cozy in our new sleeping bags.
  • Seaside, OR: It has a better downtown area, but less fame than its neighbor Cannon Beach.
  • Coos Bay, OR: Walt's Pourhouse is the place to be for a rockin' Halloween bash.
  • Crescent City, CA: A coastal town that is the gateway to the Redwoods.
  • Redwoods State and National Parks, CA: It's a real life Jurassic Park, minus the man-eating dinosaurs.
  • San Francisco, CA: We knew the Davidson girls lived there, but bison too?
  • Sacramento, CA: Sarah and Eric, urban farming dynamos.
  • Yosemite National Park, CA: Now I understand why John Muir dedicated his life to this amazing place.
  • Mt. Baker: Holds the record for most snowfall in one season at 1,140 inches (95 feet)!
  • Crystal Mountain: The best WA slopes are found in the shadow of Mt. Rainier.
  • Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada: Bridges, poutine, and gelato. Not bad, eh?  
  • Hurricane Ridge, WA: A winter wonderland within Olympic National Park.
  • Mt. St. Helens, WA: A 12 mile climb lets you witness to the power of Mother Nature.
  • Corvallis, OR: A great place to Freeze your Beaver! 
  • Gettysburg, PA: Hallowed ground which was turning point in the Civil War.
  • Whistler, British Columbia, Canada: This beautiful ski village was a site for 2010 Winter Olympics events.
  • Prince George, British Columbia, Canada: Self proclaimed "Northern Capital" of B.C.
  • Stewart, British Columbia, Canada: You are guaranteed to see bears in this part of B.C. and the AK border is just 2 miles away.
  • Watson Lake, Yukon Territory, Canada: The "Sign Post Forest" found here gives a shout out to Ephrata, PA.
  • Haines Junction, Yukon Territory, Canada: This "Cozy Corner" of the Yukon was our gateway to Alaska.
  • Tok, AK: It's impossible to drive into the mainland of AK without passing through the town of Tok.
  • Soldotna, AK: In the heart of the Kenai peninsula and home to Clayt and Laura, the two best Alaskan guides you'll ever meet.
  • Seward, AK: Launching point for the stunning Kenai Fjords National Park boat tour.
  • Anchorage, AK: Locals say it's only 30 minutes from Alaska
  • Hope, AK: It's got the Sea View Cafe, and that's really all you need.
  • Fairbanks, AK: Where the people are unusual and the beer is unusually good.
  • Denali National Park and Preserve: Denali means "The high one" for a reason.
  • Twin Lakes at Lake Clark National Park: The wilderness area Dick Proenneke called home for over 30 years
  • Palmer, AK: Want to see a 92 lb. cabbage or a 1,200 lb. pumpkin? Make a stop at the Alaska State Fair.
  • Talkeetna, AK: Fall foliage, mountain views, and great company in one of Alaska's classic small towns.
  • Liard River, British Columbia, Canada: A relaxing dip in these hot springs was just what we needed.
  • Grand Prairie, Alberta, Canada: The Las Vegas of the north, kind of, not really.
  • Fernie, British Columbia, Canada: An accommodating ski resort town with an even more accommodating brewery.
  • Glacier National Park, MT: A beautiful land carved from glaciers and home to wildlife galore.
  • Salt Lake City, UT: This beehive is home to Derek Butcher, 1/3 of the Butcher boy crew.
  • Moab/Arches/Canyonlands, UT: Fire red rock formations adorn this unbelievable landscape.
  • Capitol Reef/Bryce/Zion, UT: Petroglyphs, hoodoos, and an Angel's Landing, oh my!
  • Las Vegas, NV: Vegas with Scott baby! 
  • Sedona, AZ: A red rock paradise.
  • Flagstaff, AZ: Roger and Mary gave us the high elevation tour.
  • Albuquerque, NM: Would have loved more time here, maybe we'll be back.
  • Carlsbad Cavern, NM: Spelunking our way across the southwest
  • Junction, TX: How to be a Texan...eat chicken fried steak.
  • San Antonio, TX: The river city loves to party then run it all off.
  • Houston, TX: Jim and Ann provided us with a Texan touch of home.
  • Gulfport, MS: Missy from Mississippi and her hubby Nick showed us good old southern hospitality
  • New Orleans, LA: Lots of great food, and then more great food!
  • Great Smoky National Park/Asheville, NC: The Southern Appalachians were the last stop on our 4 week road trip
